What can words do?
Everything. Words create our world for ourselves and others. Always captivated by language and beauty, the thought of having poetry, photography and the French language inspired this work; as well as my mom’s inspiration to travel to Paris.
This book is an anthology inspired by life and love, an idea from my first seventh grade poem that I thought was “publish worthy”. This, my first book, I wrote to heal and fulfill a dream.
My days moved forward once I got the words written down, out of my head and heart. Please feel inspired by my heart in words and pictures in nature and the world. My intention is for you to heal through reading, empathy and inspiration so that you know you are never alone.
As a Renaissance spirit, I believe we all have creativity, moments within us and can give the gift of our own heart to inspire the world.

From her introduction to writing, great teachers and the early years in third grade, Kellyann was introduced to writing from her teacher, Mrs. Pat Hosler (Schilling) and also when she invited Teachers College Reading and Writing Project from Columbia University to teach writing to her students and to author their very own books. Kellyann was fascinated and encouraged especially when she made it into the local newspaper after writing her very first book, The Voice–a spiritual creation when she experienced the death of her godfather at such a young age.
She also journaled each year of grammar school, with the influence of all of her prolific school teachers in Kearny New Jersey Public Schools. Her most influential find was when she read the book, The Artist’s Way, first edition by Julia Cameron, sharing about writing “morning pages”. Since the age of seventeen, she has written those morning pages daily and it has had remarkable effects on her life.
After becoming and working as a teacher, she began writing and submitting her work at The Institute of Children’s Literature with an author mentor and created her first children’s book, The Transformation.
As a teacher, she designed the Art curriculum at The Bawdsey International School in the UK, where she taught Writing and Art to ESL language learners from other countries, designed a Science curriculum for the Special Education population for Western Suffolk BOCES in Long Island, NY and also a summer curriculum based of fairies for Kindergarteners at Crossroads School of The Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, CA.
She also was lucky to have an opportunity to be a photojournalist for her hometown paper, The Observer, where she gained experience as a reporter and photographer for local events for the communities in Northern New Jersey.
Also, as a comedian, actress, filmmaker, director/ producer, her words and images came to life in her first film, Getting Meisnered. This tribute she co-wrote, produced, directed and starred in about acting and listening as a tribute to the great acting teacher. Sanford Meisner garnered six awards, Best Cinematography, Independent Spirit Award and Best Women FIlmmakers to name a few. Currently, producing her first feature documentary, Listen Your World, she inspires listening to create peace in the world.
In all this time, she has been writing poetry and chose to take on her creative talent of photography mixed with those poems to connect, heal and inspire with her first published title, Love and Life L’amour et la Vie, a French and English bilingual healing anthology forging both her poetry and photography for a coffee table or bedside art piece journey of fulfillment. Voted the Top 10 poetry books of 2025 by Citi of Books, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
